Flowers

Flowers is a self-initiated studio publication exploring the act of photographing flowers as a measurement of time. The book is sectioned into regions of Europe and delves into these moments in the life of creative director, Emma Hursey. Colourful florals flood the pages between an essay delving into the topics of photography, time and the ephemeral nature of flowers.

  • The book is organised by chapters, each focused on an overarching colour and quote about flowers. The quotes carefully connect to the moment in the life of the artist, making the book a work of personal narrative as well as objet d’art.

The photographs within were captured on 35mm film, from an archive of shots spanning seven years. The book is purposefully one-of-a-kind.
