Little Sun at Tate Modern

Little Sun is a wide-reaching solar art and social project co-founded by artist Olafur Eliasson. The nonprofit designs and delivers affordable clean energy solutions, and campaigns for climate action.
Our studio has a long-standing relationship with Little Sun, and recently designed a fundraising campaign to run alongside Eliasson's exhibition, In Real Life, at London's Tate Modern. Our designs centred a quote from the artist – “holding hands with the sun is holding hands with the future.”

We supported Little Sun’s charitable giving campaign and goal of attracting new donors by creating postcards that explained the why and how of its mission. When placed side by side, the semi-circle of each card joins to create a complete circle, representing the sun and the collaborative efforts of the nonprofit and donors. These cards were printed on GF Smith Extract paper, made of recycled coffee cups.

The Little Sun tote bag we designed sold out twice across Tate’s shops. Later in the year, we teamed up with B Corp-certified Klean Kanteen to produce a reusable water bottle. A portion of profits from all merchandise sold goes towards Little Sun’s humanitarian worldwide projects.
